The paper was not strong enough, or it could not absorb watercolors adequately or the paint would lose its vibrancy when dry. The good watercolor papers were really expensive and I was afraid to experiment and "waste" them. I researched the market, for many years, until I found the perfect paper. It is strong, accepts watercolors and other wet media perfectly and it is really good in all my mixed media experiments both wet and dry. The last few years, it is the only paper I use. It is made by Fabriano, an Italian paper manufacturer that produces quality paper since 1264. It is a strong 300 gsm (140lb) cold pressed watercolor paper. It is designed speciffically for wet media such as watercolor, guache, acrylics and ink. It has neutral PH and it is also acid free and chlorine free. I made this journal with 40 pages (counting both sides), of this unique paper, and it will be the joy of any watercolor artist, art journaler, mixed media artist or painter. Its back has special reinforcements, resistant to water , that also permit the book to open flat. The spine is made from strong man made leather (please choose color). The covers are made of Kraft chipboard, that you can leave intact or decorate at your heart's will. At the front cover there is an embossedartistic compass and the phrase "enjoy the journey" Its size is appr 13 x 18.5 cm (5.11" x 7.28"), perfect to be constantly carried in a bag, and big enough to accomodate your vision. It is a perfect gift for watercolor artists, mixed media artists, writers and people who need a good quality journal. I will pack your journal very carefully and post it by registered mail. It is more expensive than the simple "air-mail" service, but it will let us both breathe freely and not worry about the fate of your journal. I will email you the tracking number, so that you can track your journal during its journey to you.

๐Ÿšš Standard Shipping is fulfilled by National Post. Greek postal service needs 3-10 business days (for registered/express delivery), to deliver to your country's inward Office of Exchange (local post). From then on, it depends on your local post. I have estimated the delivery time to the best of my knowledge, but there might be delays that I cannot predict.

- All sales are final. Regretfully, I cannot accept returns for a change of mind or a change of heart. However, if you have made a purchase and your item is not yet shipped, and you need to cancel the order, please contact me within 6 hours.

- If for any reason you are not happy with your (ready-to-ship) journal, please contact me within 3 days of receiving the item. I will make my best to make it up to you. Custom or personalized orders cannot be returned.

- If your order arrived damaged or incorrect, it will be repaired or replaced at no charge. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

- If your order was unclaimed or your address was wrong and your item was returned to me, you will have to pay the actual shipping price in order to re-send it. Greek Post charges 16.5 euros per kg. Unclaimed or returned items are not eligible for a refund and after 30 days they will be donated to charity. So please, keep an eye on your purchase using the tracking number provided.
