The paper was not strong, it could not absorb water adequately, sometimes the paint would lose its vibrancy when dry and so on so forth. The good watercolor papers were really expensive and I was afraid to experiment and "waste" them. I researched the market, for many years, until I found the perfect paper. It is strong, accepts watercolors and other wet media perfectly and it is really good for all my mixed media experiments both wet and dry. The last few years, it is the only paper I use. It is made by Fabriano, an Italian paper manufacturer that produces quality paper since 1264. It is a strong cold pressed watercolor paper. It is designed specifically for wet media such as watercolor, gouache, acrylics and ink. It has neutral PH and it is also acid free and chlorine free. This booklet can be used as an insert any standard TN type Journals or as a stand alone journal. It has a printed cardstock cover. And of course it is hand stitched by me, using Irish waxed linen thread, for extra stability and character. ****The listing is only for the journal.
